Today my  post is going to be about…

I chose to do a post about Christmas Traditions because it’s nearly Christmas and we all celebrate Christmas in different ways, and I’m getting really excited about Santa coming!

I love Christmas!

I LOVE Christmas because we all get presents and I also love giving people things. I will tell  you the Christmas Secret , “It is better to give than to receive”.

Last year I think I got about 20 presents. But I also gave presents to lots of people in my family.

Some things I like to do at Christmas are:

• Eat a special breakfast of croissants, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Yum Yum!
• Well every Christmas we got to one of my Aunty’s houses,  my Uncle’s house or sometimes we all celebrate at my house
• I like to play with my cousins, my brother and my sister
• play with my new toys
• Look if Santa has eaten his food that we gave him

and lots more.

Things I like to do on Christmas Eve are:

• Sit down with my family and have a special dinner with our bon bons and hats
• Go for a drive and look at all tha fantastic Christmas lights
• Make magic Reeinder food
• Watch videos of my familys Christmas’ together and watch my brother,my sister and I open all our presents
• Leave some milk and shortbread for Santa
• Leave some carrots, water and reindeer food for all Santa’s Reindeer

My family and I put my Christmas tree up a week ago and it looked bare at the start and at the end it looked fabulous!

Dad also put lights up on the outside of our house, and they look fabulous too!!

Today I cooked with Daisy my mascot and my mum.  We made Jelly Slice and it was so yummy!    Daisy is my mascots name. Thanks for all your help with trying to name her.                                

here is the recipe:

I packet Marie biscuits                  180grams melted butter

400gram tin condensed milk , 2 teaspoons gelatine dissolved in 3/4 cup boiling water and juice of 2 lemons

1 packet jelly crystals and boiling water

Mix crushed bisciuts and melted butter together. Press into lined slice tray

Blend condensed milk with lemon juiceand dissolved gelatine. Spread over the biscuit base and put in the fridge until set.

Make up the jelly as the packet says. Cool before pouring over slice. Refrigerate until set, then eat 🙂

Not all of my friends are included in the photo. You can see Hannah, Ella, Mikayla, Me, Dana, Millie, Jordi, Ava Paris, Mia and Keira. I couldn’t find them all at the same time.

I’m the one wearing the khaki top with a loveheart on it, I have crimped hair and sunglasses. I actually have dead straight hair but had it crimped for something special.

Many of my friends that are grils like netball, and mainly all of my friends that are boys like football. Some girls that are my friends, Ava and Jordi, like horse riding.. Some people in my grade like netball and these people are Dana, Ava, Jordi, Millie and Amelie.

Some of the things I like to do with my friends are:

Run around with them

Skipping

Netball

Sometimes play football

Have lots of fun at the grade 2 late night

Today I went to little Athletics.

I did lots of activites and my favourite was the walk.

Little Athletics is a sport and if you like running you can join. You can also
be a try out and when you are a try out you can tell your mum if you want to join
or if you don’t want to do it.

It’s school holidays and some things I like to do on the holidays are to…….
Play with my friends,
Go to the movies,
Have fun at the swimming pool,
Go bowling,
Shopping and,
Going to see Collingwood at the MCG.

Some things I like to do at home on the Holidays are to….
Play on the trampoline,
Help my mum clean up,
Help my mum cook,
Watch T.V. and movies and,
Make playdough
I know you want to know how to make playdough the recipe it is going to be on my post. My mum made a special playdough for me and she put glitter in it and it made it look very nice. It was sparkly.
This is the playdough recipe,

1 cup of flour,
¼ a cup of salt,
1 teaspoon of cream of tartar,
1 cup of water,
1 table spoon of oil,
Add one table spoon of Imitation vanilla extract, (it smells nice)
Don’t forget to add food colouring of your choice,
Mix together over medium heat until cooked.
Enjoy

Yesterday I went to Melbourne!

I went to Melbourne because my family wanted to go to the Collingwood Football Club shop.

My mum and Dad bought me a new scarf, it’s really warm. Mum and Dad bought Ethan a new Collingwood jumper ( because Shelby got Ethan’s jumper) and a new scarf. They also bought Shelby two badges, with Luke Ball and Travis Cloke on them.

We were going to visit my uncle Tommy but we didn’t. We are going to his place next week to watch the AFL Grand Final because he has a really big T.V. It will be a Collingwood versus Geelong match.

The best thing about the day was getting my new scarf.
